As part of its ongoing efforts to drive organizational development and elevate logistics standards, the Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) spearheaded by Rear Admiral Marco Antonio P Gines, successfully conducted an Immersion Program Visit (IPV) to the Air Logistics Command at Clark, Pampanga on 14-15 May 2026.
Upon arrival, the delegation was formally received by Major General Dennis G. EstrellaβCommander, Air Logistics System Commandβtogether with Brigadier General Ronnie C. Cabingas, Brigadier General Edmon B. Gupit, Brigadier General Rosemawattee A. Remo, and other key officers of the Air Logistics Command (ALC). The leadership welcomed the initiative as a significant step toward enhancing inter-service collaboration in logistics management.
The first day of the program commenced with a comprehensive overview briefing presented by the Air Logistics Command (ALC). The session covered the commandβs overall operational framework, organizational structure, and strategic logistics initiatives, with a focus on ALCβs proven best practices. It also detailed ALCβs core systemsβincluding supply chain management platforms, inventory tracking databases, and resource allocation tools that streamline command operations. Key officers from ALC provided detailed insights into their respective areas of responsibility, facilitating in-depth knowledge sharing and constructive dialogue between the two organizations.
On the second day, the CGLSC team split into groups to maximize learning opportunities across ALCβs operational facilities. Rear Admiral Gines was personally received by Brigadier General Ronnie C. Cabingas at the 420th Supply Wing. The Commander and his group were then given guided tours of the wingβs warehousing complexes, with detailed presentations on modern storage and handling protocols, automated asset tracking mechanisms, and quality assurance procedures for aviation-related supplies and equipmentβshowcasing how ALCβs systems and best practices are implemented at the unit level. General Cabingas emphasized the wingβs role in ensuring timely and efficient distribution of resources to PAF operational units nationwide.
Other CGLSC officers concurrently visited additional ALC facilities, including the 410th Maintenance Wing, where they were briefed on aircraft maintenance logistics, component lifecycle management, calibration standards, and integrated maintenance scheduling systems.
All groups later convened for a visit to the Air Force Research and Development Center, where delegates were briefed on ongoing research initiatives focused on developing advanced logistics solutions, enhancing equipment reliability, and optimizing resource utilization to support evolving operational demands.
At the closing of the immersion program, Rear Admiral Gines stated that the visit has provided CGLSC with invaluable insights into the Air Logistics Commandβs world-class logistics practices and integrated systems. He added that the knowledge and expertise shared by ALC will be integrated into CGLSCβs strategic plans to further strengthen its capability to support the Philippine Coast Guardβs mandates.
The initiative underscores both commandsβ dedication to continuous improvement through inter-service cooperation and knowledge transfer, ensuring the delivery of efficient and responsive logistics support to their respective operational units.
