Most managers were promoted because they were good at doing the work.

But no one trained them how to handle: underperformance, emotional reactions during feedback, team conflict, burnout, and disengagement

So what happens?

When things get messy, leaders default to what feels safe. Tighter control. Closer monitoring. Micromanagement.

Not because they are bad leaders.
But because they were never equipped with better tools.

Coaching and counseling are not soft skills. They are leadership skills.

They prevent disengagement, turnover, and silent resentment.

Last February 7 and 8, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday), the Executive Development Academy conducted its first in-house seminar-workshop for the year with Vertiv Philippines on Excellent Customer Service and Handling Customer Complaints.

Over two full days, we explored what it truly means to build a customer-driven culture — one that does not fear complaints, but sees them as opportunities to strengthen trust, loyalty, and long-term relationships.

Grateful for the partnership and for organizations that are committed to raising the standard of service excellence.

40 years since EDSA.

Not just a moment in history, but a quiet reminder of what unity, courage, and conviction can look like when people choose hope over fear.

May we carry those lessons forward, in big and small ways.
