A Closer Look at Social Services: Empowering the Poor, the Vulnerable, and the Disadvantaged.

The Provincial Government of Masbate, headed by Hon. Atty. Ricardo T. Kho, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Esperanza spearheaded the distribution of housing materials to families affected by Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Opong.
This assistance forms part of the Provincial Local Government Unit's (PLGU) continuous rehabilitation and recovery efforts aimed at helping affected families rebuild their homes and restore normalcy in their communities. The initiative is in line with the mandates of Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, which emphasizes disaster recovery, rehabilitation, and the enhancement of community resilience following calamities.
Through this intervention, the Provincial Government of Masbate reaffirms its commitment to providing timely and responsive assistance to disaster-affected constituents and to promoting safer, more resilient communities throughout the province.
