If you are operating a Windows host, please follow the steps below for CrowdStrike remediation or workaround solutions:

Method A: For Individual Hosts

1. Boot the Operating System into Safe Mode, Recovery Environment, or DOS.
2. Navigate to the following directory: %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike
3. Locate and delete the file named C-00000291*.sys.
4. Reboot the machine.

Method B: For Multiple Hosts / Workaround Using WDS in LAN / VPN

1. Create a Batch File to Delete the Target File and Reboot the System:

2. Create a batch file with commands to delete %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike\C-00000291*.sys and execute the reboot command-line: /shutdown /r.
Example: DelC291.bat

3. Customize and Inject the Batch File into the Windows Recovery Image File (winre.wim):

4. Use DISM to inject the DelC291.bat file into the Windows Recovery Image File (winre.wim).
Unmount the Customized Windows Recovery Image File:

5. Use DISM to unmount the winre.wim file.
Configure DHCP and WDS Server to Boot the Customized Recovery Image:

6. Set up DHCP and WDS servers to deploy the customized Windows Recovery Image File (winre.wim).
Boot Client Machines via LAN / PXE and Select Windows Recovery Environment:

7. Boot the client machines into the LAN / PXE environment and choose the Windows Recovery Environment option.
After Reboot, Configure Boot Options to Load the Local Operating System:

8. Adjust the boot options to start the local OS.

For efficiency, consider adding scripts and automations to streamline the deployment process.
