The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 25 reminded the public that r**e cases cannot be settled through customary laws or traditional practices and must be prosecuted under Philippine law.

During a consultative meeting of duty-bearers on August 7, 2025 at Tabuk City Hall, RTC Branch 25 Clerk of Court Atty. May Frances Calsiyao said this policy ensures perpetrators of serious crimes are held accountable.

She explained that while plea bargaining can settle civil liabilities, private agreements outside the court cannot be used to dismiss r**e cases.

This event has been rescheduled to FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Municipality of SABLAN – OMSWD/OSCA Office.

✅REMINDER: Please prepare in advance the following requirements for personal claim or authorization:

💛1. Personal Claim: Photocopy of OSCA ID with three specimens of signature/thumbmark consistent with his/her ID

📝2. Through Authorized Representative: (Names listed in the application form)
a) Authorization Letter (Please obtain the Authorization form from the Sablan OSCA Office)
b) Photocopy of OSCA ID of beneficiary with three wet specimens signature/thumbmark consistent with his/her ID
c) Medical Certificate (for beneficiaries who are admitted on the day of payout) or BARANGAY Certificate (for bedridden/weak and sickly beneficiaries)
d) Proof of life. Most recent full or half body picture (A4 size) of the senior citizen holding the front page of the most recent issues of a newspaper or a copy of the current month calendar.
