The Eagle Scouts Association of Cainta is deeply honored and profoundly grateful to announce the successful conduct of the Philippine Heraldic Code Seminar and Training Program: Promoting Awareness and Proper Observance of Republic Act No. 8491 β held today, May 28, 2026, in fitting commemoration of National Flag Day, at the Silid Caballero, MPDC Building, Municipal Compound, Cainta, Rizal.
What began as an initiative to promote civic awareness became something far greater β a gathering of Scouts, students, youth organization members, and community leaders united by one common purpose: to truly know, understand, and honor the flag that has flown over this nation through centuries of struggle, sacrifice, and triumph.
π SEMINAR HIGHLIGHTS
π Deep Dive into Republic Act No. 8491
Participants gained a thorough and eye-opening understanding of the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines β its provisions, its mandates, and the proper protocols governing the display, handling, and reverence owed to our national symbols. Many walked away with the realization that honoring the flag is not merely tradition β it is the law.
π€ An Inspiring Resource Speaker
The seminar was graced by the expertise and passion of SL. James Kevin R. La Torre, WBH, Subject Group Head of the Social Science Department and Master Teacher II of Cainta Senior High School β a seasoned educator, researcher, and advocate of Filipino Culture and Heritage. His delivery was not merely instructional; it was a masterclass in what it means to love one's country with both the heart and the mind. He reminded every participant that knowledge of our symbols is an act of patriotism in itself.
π€ A Community United
From Eagle Scouts to students, from youth leaders to community members β the seminar drew together a diverse and passionate group of Filipinos who chose to spend National Flag Day not in passive observance, but in active, meaningful learning. The room was filled not just with participants, but with future stewards of the Philippine flag.
π The Significance of This Day
It is no coincidence that this seminar was held on National Flag Day β the anniversary of the first official unfurling of the Pambansang Watawat on Philippine soil in 1898. To learn about the flag on the very day we celebrate it is to honor not just the cloth and the colors, but the blood, the tears, and the unbreakable spirit of every Filipino who made it possible for that flag to fly free.
To our resource speaker, SL. La Torre β maraming salamat for sharing your knowledge, your passion, and your love of country with such grace and generosity.
To every participant who filled every seat in that room β thank you for showing up. Thank you for choosing to learn. Thank you for proving that the next generation of flag-honoring Filipinos is already here.
And to our fellow Eagle Scouts who made this program possible β this is Scouting at its finest. This is duty to country, fulfilled.

Feel Good Friday
Minsan ang kailangan lang natin ay isang paalala:
Hindi mo kailangang maging perfect para maging proud sa sarili mo.
Celebrate the small wins. Nakabangon ka today. Nagsikap ka. Lumaban ka ulit.
That already counts. And always remember, our imperfections make us truly perfect. π
Happy Feel Good Friday, Kabataang CainteΓ±o!
