𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜 Student Artists of Southern Leyte State University soared beyond limits as they showcased their talent and passion during the Radio Drama Competition of the National Culture and Arts Festival 2026. Their performance reflected creativity, teamwork, and pride in representing Region VIII on the national stage.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜 Region VIII delegates bring energy and color to the streets of Jaro, Iloilo City as they take part in the Grand Parade and Festival Dance Competition for the opening of the PASUC National Culture and Arts Festival this April 8.

With vibrant costumes and lively street performances, the Eastern Visayas contingent proudly showcases its rich culture, rhythm, and unity.

The celebration continues with the Opening Ceremonies at the Western Visayas State University Cultural Center and Quezon Hall at 4:00 p.m.

𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 | For nearly three weeks, Banda Kadasig poured their hearts into bringing “𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏” to life, through sleepless nights of songwriting, relentless rehearsals, and a vision-driven video shoot.

Every lyric was written with purpose. Every beat carried intention. Every note was fueled by passion. The result? A powerful creation that reflects what each member holds closest—their deep, unwavering love for music.

At the forefront is Jemarie Jacobe Adobas, whose voice and artistry shaped this beautiful anthem of women empowerment. From there, the band elevated it even further — crafting melodies so catchy, so unforgettable, they stay with you long after the last note fades. Special shoutout to the masters behind the beat: Josiah Joed Getes Christopher Gaviola Rohan James Daniel Culpa Honrada. We also wouldn’t have done this so beautifully without the sound engineering skills of our trusted John Ian Demoral Bisnar 😍

But more than just a song, this is a message.

Banda Kadasig stands for a world where everyone, regardless of gender or identity, has a voice that is heard and a presence that is seen.

With hearts full of gratitude, we extend our deepest thanks to our ACGH Director, Sir Lourd Ive Visbal, whose vision and leadership empowered us to dream bigger and reach further than we ever imagined. We are equally inspired by the grace and beauty brought to life through movement by the L A N T A W Dance Troupe whose radiant smiles never faded, even under the scorching heat of the video shoot. And behind the lens, we celebrate the brilliance of Kasidlak Creatives, led by Sir Kenneth Karl Briones, whose passion and creativity transformed our vision into a stunning visual story.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the leaders of Southern Leyte State University, especially the empowering voices of its women leaders, whose guidance continues to inspire us and shape our student journey into a space for growth, self-discovery, and excellence.
