REGION 2 TOP 10 MOST WANTED PERSON APPREHENDED FOR R**E IN SOLANO, NUEVA VIZCAYA
In a major breakthrough for public safety and the relentless pursuit of justice, joint law enforcement operatives successfully tracked down and arrested a suspect listed as a Regional Top 10 Most Wanted Person during a coordinated operation in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
The suspect, identified as a 28-year-old single male, currently privately employed and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Osmeña, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, was arrested for the crime of R**e, pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the competent court.
Acting on validated intelligence information and sustained surveillance operations, the joint tracker teams were able to establish the exact location of the suspect, leading to his peaceful arrest without incident. The operation was executed with precision and adherence to established police operational procedures, ensuring the safety of all parties involved and minimizing disruption to the community.
Immediately after his arrest, the suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language known and understood by him, in compliance with the Miranda Doctrine. He was subsequently brought to the custody of the operating unit for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the issuing court.

SOLANO POLICE STATION JOINS SIMULTANEOUS FLAG RAISING CEREMONY IN OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL FLAG DAY
In line with the nationwide observance of National Flag Day, personnel of Solano Police Station joined the simultaneous flag raising ceremony on May 28, 2026, demonstrating unity, patriotism, and respect for the Philippine flag as the enduring symbol of the country’s independence and sovereignty.
During the observance, the Philippine National Anthem was solemnly sung while the Philippine flag was raised, signifying honor and loyalty to the nation. The activity also served as an opportunity to strengthen nationalism among government personnel and encourage the community to uphold the dignity and significance of the national flag.
The Solano Police Station emphasized that patriotism is not only shown through ceremonies but also through genuine public service, unity, and cooperation in maintaining peace and order within the community. Personnel were likewise reminded to continue embodying the values of discipline, accountability, and service as public servants under the Bagong Pilipinas initiative.

ROAD RAGE INCIDENT LEADS TO SHOOTING; SUSPECT ARRESTED IN SWIFT SOLANO PNP OPERATION
The Solano Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended a 59-year-old retired military person following a shooting incident on April 14, 2026.
Initial investigations reveal that the victim was driving a motorized tricycle while the suspect was operating a Hyundai Starex traveling in the opposite direction. Due to the limited space, the two vehicles accidentally brushed against each other, sparking a heated verbal altercation.
The situation escalated when the suspect disembarked from his vehicle, drew a firearm, and fired at the victim. Despite the victim’s attempt to wrestle the weapon away, he sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand, left foot, and abdomen. The suspect then fled the scene, while the victim was rushed to the Region II Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) in Bayombong for urgent medical treatment.
Responding units from the Solano MPS and the Nueva Vizcaya Forensic Field Unit recovered four (4) fired 9mm cartridges at the scene. A subsequent hot pursuit operation, conducted under the guidance of PCOL PAUL BOMETIVO, Provincial Director, led to the arrest of the suspect at a relative’s house in Purok 4, Barangay Bascaran. The suspect surrendered a Cal. 9mm competition race pistol but failed to provide legal documentation for the firearm.
The suspect is currently detained at Solano Municipal Police Station pending inquest proceedings for Frustrated Homicide and Violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
PCOL BOMETIVO emphasized that the swift arrest demonstrates the strong coordination and responsiveness of police units in the province. He reiterated that the NVPPO will continue to intensify law enforcement operations and urged the public to exercise restraint and immediately seek police assistance in resolving disputes to prevent violence.
Meanwhile, PMAJ JOHN ANTHONY S SANCHEZ, Chief of Police of Solano MPS, commended the responding personnel for the successful hot pursuit operation and immediate arrest of the suspect. He also reminded the public to remain calm in situations involving road misunderstandings and avoid resorting to violence, stressing that law enforcement authorities are always ready to intervene and ensure safety.

SOLANO POLICE NAB TWO MOST WANTED PERSONS IN SEPARATE OPERATIONS
The Solano Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended two individuals with outstanding warrants in separate manhunt operations conducted recently, highlighting the station’s intensified campaign against wanted persons.
The first operation led to the arrest of a a businessman and resident of Brgy. Quirino, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya for the Violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 881 (Omnibus Election Code) in relation to COMELEC Resolution No. 11067. The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending further legal proceedings, was taken into custody by virtue of a warrant issued by the Presiding Judge of RTC Second Judicial Region, Branch 29, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
In a subsequent operation, Solano PNP personnel arrested another individual a self-employed resident of Brgy. Osmeña, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya facing charges for the Crime of Acts of Lasciviousness, as defined under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC). The successful service of the warrant of arrest ensures that the accused will now face the judicial process.
Both suspects are currently under the custody of the Solano Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition before being turned over to the courts of origin.
"The back-to-back arrest of these individuals is a testament to the dedication of our officers and the strength of our community’s intelligence network," said PMAJ JOHN ANTHONY SANCHEZ, Chief of Police "Whether it is a violation of our election laws or a crime against a person, our message is clear: there is no hiding from the law in Solano."
The Solano MPS continues to urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activities or known locations of individuals with existing warrants of arrest.
