Give Hope. Give Joy. Give Back.
Last Thursday, we gathered 130 kids from Zone 2 Upper Riverside, Dumlog for a day of joy and faith after the storm.

Many families have already received rice, canned goods, and other relief items—so we chose to focus on the children, the little hearts who also went through fear, loss, and uncertainty. We wanted to offer not just treats, but comfort, hope, and the reminder that God is with them.

We began with a gentle kumustahay session, letting the kids share how they felt after the typhoon. Followed by a short catechism, we reminded them that they can talk to Jesus anytime—especially when scared.

The children enjoyed simple games, laughter, and time to just be kids again. They brought home food packs, loot bags with candies, and school supplies to brighten their day.

We also invited local street vendors to provide fresh buko juice and ice cream. Instead of buying from big stores, we supported their livelihood—spreading joy while helping families earn.

Thank you to all volunteers, donors, and the Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus Nazareno for opening the space for us. Thank you Jesus and Mama Mary for good weather, protection, and providence.

This coming December, we will gather another group of children.

Laban Sugbohanon team would like to thank all the generous and kind-hearted donors who made this donation drive a successful one.

We would like to once again extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Ava and her family for donating 125 packed meals; to Ms. Fe Flor and her colleagues for providing clothes, food, and other in-kind goods; and to Universal Robina Corporation Cebu, headed by Tito Wewe, for generously donating biscuits, water, and C2 milk tea for the families.

We were able to distribute the goods to 150 families and 100 kids yesterday, Nov 23, 2025.
