Talisay Cityโs Rhian Christine Salud and Davao Cityโs Lyrah Villareal finished in a dramatic tie for first place with 4.5 points each in the PSCโNCFP Batang Pinoy Chess Henyo Grassroot Program Visayas Island 8โ10 Years Old Girls Division.
Top-seeded Ellysa Therese Margaux Maru of Cebu City took third with 4 points, while Lily Filippa Bernal of Davao City and Hylee Regidor of Sogod, Cebu completed the top five.
The event showcased the next generation of Visayas chess queens, proving that talent and determination know no age.
