About: Janggo was first seen wandering the streets with massive tumor-like growths on his neck and mouth. The swelling was so severe that his entire head appeared inflamed. Despite his painful condition, he continued to endure each day silently.

Concerned neighbor Riz Matias reached out to Strays Worth Saving after one of the tumors on Janggo’s neck suddenly burst. She later discovered that Janggo was not a stray, but his owner simply did not have the financial means to provide the urgent veterinary care he desperately needed.

According to Riz, Janggo was only recently tied in a small area. Before that, he was often left to roam freely, even after the tumor on his neck had ruptured. Seeing his suffering and deteriorating condition, we knew we had to act.

Janggo was immediately rescued and brought to Vetlink Veterinary Services for evaluation and treatment.

His initial tests showed that he is negative for canine distemper (CDV), which was a small piece of good news. However, his bloodwork revealed a serious infection, inflammation in his mandible, anemia caused by infection, flea infestation, and malnutrition. The large masses affecting his jaw and palate were confirmed to be tumors.

Despite everything he has been through, Janggo continues to eat well and shows a strong will to live. Because of his stable appetite, his veterinarians have recommended starting chemotherapy immediately to give him a fighting chance.

Janggo's road to recovery will be long and costly, but we refuse to give up on him. He deserves the opportunity to live free from pain and suffering.

Please help us continue Janggo’s treatment and give him hope for a better future. Any amount, no matter how small, can make a difference.
