Cavite State University โ€“ Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (CvSU-ATBI) proudly secured 26th place in the University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects (C7) category of the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), placing it among the Global Top 100 university-led entrepreneurship initiatives worldwide.

The entry highlights CvSUโ€™s accomplishments from three completed and one ongoing DOST-PCAARRD-funded projects implemented under the Technology Transfer and Promotion Divisionโ€™s ATBI and RAISE programs. This recognition highlights CvSU-ATBIโ€™s strong commitment to advancing technology commercialization, nurturing startups, and strengthening innovation-driven enterprises within and beyond the University.

Dr. Rowena R. Noceda, Project Leader of CvSU-ATBI, received the Certificate of Recognition during the Breakfast with the President held on May 14, 2026 at the Hostel Conference Room. The ceremony was led by University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro in honor of the contributors to CvSUโ€™s successful WURI 2026 submissions.

As Cavite State University elevated its global ranking to 217th place and achieved Top 100 placements in 16 categories, CvSU-ATBIโ€™s distinction in University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects reaffirms the Universityโ€™s dedication to innovation, industry relevance, and transformative impact on communities.

The CvSU-ATBI Information Drive was conducted with the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) and the College of Agriculture, Food, Environment, and Natural Resources (CAFENR) faculty and students on April 30, 2026 at the STAARRDEC Conference Room.

Dr. Abigail P. Daria, CAFENR OIC-Dean and STAARRDEC Technology Transfer Coordinator, formally welcomed the participants to the activity. A message of support from CEIT Dean Dr. Willie C. Buclatin was delivered by Engr. John Paulo Perido, reaffirming the collegeโ€™s commitment to innovation and technology commercialization.

The session was moderated by Ms. Princes M. Feliciano. The lecture series featured Mr. Rhuzel Leinster Dean J. Julian on Technology Commercialization Pathways, Engr. Gee Jay C. Bartolome on Technology Pre-Commercialization, and Ms. Michelle M. Razo on โ€œTech It to the Next Level with CvSU-ATBI.โ€

The activity concluded with a synthesis message from CAFENR faculty member Mr. Guillermo Desenganio and closing remarks delivered by CEIT Extension Coordinator Ms. Anabelle Almarez, who encouraged faculty and students to actively participate in the universityโ€™s innovation and incubation initiatives.

CAFETalks successfully conducted its information drive at Cavite State University โ€“ Carmona Campus on April 22, 2026, at the Hostel Conference Room. Anchored on the theme โ€œBrewing Innovative Business Opportunities and Getting into the TechComm Buzz,โ€ the session introduced faculty members and students to technology commercialization pathways and innovation-driven opportunities within the university.

Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli, Campus Administrator, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the value of collaboration and active engagement in innovation initiatives to further strengthen the universityโ€™s research and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Participants were also introduced to the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program and the various opportunities offered through CvSU-ATBI. The session encouraged attendees to translate innovative ideas into impactful and sustainable ventures.

An open forum concluded the activity, providing participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and gain deeper insights into technology commercialization. Closing remarks were delivered by Ms. Janine Bacosmo, Campus Extension Coordinator, who expressed her appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and continued support of the academic community.
