BLGU Installs solar lights
In a move to enhance school security and promote environmental sustainability. The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Tadiangan recently installed solar-powered light around the school perimeter.
The project initiated under the leadership of Punong Barangay Feliciano Buyagao Alipda Jr. Aims to provide better lighting around school.

Gilbert Semon ES participated in the 3rd quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2025 with 166 learners, 10 teaching personnel, 2 non-teaching personnel and 4 parents/guardians.

Gilbert Semon Elementary School joined the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on June 19, 2025. It was participated by 152 learners, 2 parents, 1 School Head, 9 teaching personnel, and 1 AO.

The opening of the School year 2025-2026 at Gilbert Semon Elem School was not just a return to classrooms- it was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community. From the youngest learners to the with determination ALS learners everyone was welcomed with excitement,smiles and renewed sense of purpose.Most inspiring of all was the active participation of parents, who stood proudly beside their children and ALS learners to mark the beginning of another journey in education.

🧩 Panimula: Ano ang DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2025?

Bilang tugon sa mga magulang, g**o, at punong g**o na may mga tanong ukol sa tamang edad ng mga papasok sa Kindergarten, inilabas ng Department of Education ang bagong patakaran na nagbibigay linaw at tuntunin sa dalawang provision upang mas mapadali ang pagpasok ng mga bata sa paaralan na may birthday mula Nobyembre 1 hanggang Disyembre 31.

✅ 1. Ano ang bagong cut-off age para sa Kindergarten?

Ang bata ay dapat limang (5) taong gulang sa o bago ang Oktubre 31 ng school year upang matanggap sa Kindergarten.

🗓️ 2. Paano kung ang birthday ng bata ay mula Nobyembre 1 hanggang Disyembre 31?

Maaaring tanggapin kung masatisfy ang alinman sa dalawang provision sa ibaba:

📌 Nakatapos ang bata ng isang (1) school year ng Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program mula sa:

Pampubliko o pribadong Child Development Centers (CDCs)

Learning Centers na may permit o recognition

Certificate of Completion o Certificate of Attendance mula sa naturang center.

📌 Ang bata ay kailangang sumailalim sa Philippine Early Childhood Development (ECD) Checklist assessment na isasagawa ng paaralan.

Sa enrollment period hanggang sa unang linggo ng klase

Kindergarten teacher ng paaralan

Upang matiyak na handa ang bata para sa Kindergarten

Ang resulta ng assessment ay magiging batayan sa pagtanggap

Ang checklist ay isasama sa opisyal na record ng bata
