PTI-backed Independent candidate Syed Suhail Abbas has emerged victorious in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly constituency GBA-III (Gilgit-3), according to the provisional consolidated results issued by the Returning Officer.

Official Form-47 results show that Syed Suhail Abbas secured 7,877 votes, defeating Aftab Haider of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), who received 7,394 votes. The victory margin stood at 483 votes in one of the most closely contested races in Gilgit district.

Muhammad Iqbal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 7,259 votes, while Muhammad Shafi, a IPP candidate, received 5,835 votes.

According to the provisional results, the constituency had 52,522 registered voters, including 27,521 male and 25,001 female voters. A total of 29,259 valid votes were cast across 82 polling stations, resulting in a voter turnout of approximately 56 per cent.
