It's clarified by KIU that a post circulated by some vested interest to defame the University and its credibility, is totally ridiculous absurd and non sense. Last day few activist students tried to create Law and Order situatuons by breaching the Code of Conduct. The gathering was disbursed as no activity based on ethnicity, language, region and sect is allowed at KIU. Later on High level meeting, it was decided to suspend the University activities with immediate effect to avoid any law and order situations at KIU. It was also decided to file FIR against the students who prompted to disturb the law and order situations at KIU. This was also clarified that KIU has Zero Tolerance for any such events and couple of weeks earlier 5 students have been removed from University on such charges of creating law and order situations . VC KIU has directed the students desciplinary committee to convene urgent meeting to investigate against the culprits who prompted other students. At the same it is condemned in strongest words that to divert the attention of people from the real culprits, a fabricated, baseless and highly unethical story has been created, to defame University. KIU will stand with meirt, credibility and justice, will never budge to any pressure by such rascals. Vice Chancellor has further directed to ludge FIR with the FIA under Cybercrime and investigate and punish the culprits under Cybercrime Act, against the culprits who created and circulated such unethical posts. KIU always believe in the values of respect, modesty and dignity of all students particularly female students and assure that it will always respect it as per the culture and norms of Islam and region.
