SLF's Certificate Course in Animal Health and Production:

The Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF), in collaboration with the Animal Sciences Division of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (NARC), recently organized a Certificate Course in Animal Health and Production that garnered significant acclaim.

The workshop saw the participation of 30 dedicated Ecosystem Health Workers from the snow leopard landscapes of Gilgit Baltistan, AJK, and Chitral. Its primary aim was to empower communities for nature conservation while fostering coexistence between agro-pastoral communities and snow leopards.

At the event's conclusion, Chief Guest Samar Hussain Khan, Conservator Wildlife Ministry of Climate Change, praised the initiative's impact on mountain communities and ecosystem health. Dr. Jaffer Ud Din, Deputy Director of SLF, underscored the importance of community empowerment for sustainable economic growth and biodiversity preservation. Dr. Syed Mehmood Nasir, Environmentalist and Anthropologist, contributed valuable insights, enriching the discourse on sustainable conservation practices.

Participants were awarded certificates and field-kits, marking the successful culmination of the workshop. SLF extends heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and partners for their unwavering commitment to conservation and community development in the region.
