Not everything ‘desi’ is safe for babies… especially when it comes to their tiny stomachs.

Grandmothers say: ‘Thori si ghutti /Gripe water ya kahwa de do… bachay ka pait theek ho jaye ga.’
But is it really safe for babies? 👶⚠️”

Here’s the problem 👇

❌ Dry ghutti powders/ Gripe water often contain preservatives, sodium bicarbonate, and sometimes alcohol-based extracts. These ingredients are not ideal for an infant’s delicate digestive system.

❌ Homemade kahwa contains water, sugar, and herbs in unknown amounts.
For babies, even small amounts of water or sugar can be inappropriate, and the exactsafety or dosage of herbs is not always known.

A baby’s digestive system is very sensitive, so random herbal mixtures can sometimes do more harm than good.

✔️ If a baby has colic or tummy discomfort, I prefer using evidence-based herbal digestive *DIGAS COLIC* drops that have been used safely for many years.

These usually contain gentle herbs like:
🌿 Fennel
🌿 Mint
🌿 Ginger
🌿 Peppermint
🌿 Cumin

These ingredients are known to help relieve gas, support digestion, and soothe colic when used in proper pediatric formulations.

Their efficacy and safety has been proven by 2 DOW university Researches

👩‍⚕️ Always remember: Babies are not small adults. Their remedies should also be carefully designed for infants.

A 5-month-old baby was being fed diluted formula milk with unclean water in a dirty feeder bottle.
😢 The baby cried excessively, and the symptoms were mistaken for colic.
⚠️ But the real danger was malnutrition, low sugar, and risk of infection.
💧 Contaminated bottles and water can make babies sick very quickly.
❤️ Proper feeding with clean milk and clean bottles is vital for growth and health.
🍼 Parents, always check what goes into your baby’s bottle—it can save a tiny life.
