Proud moment for PARSA Trust and PARSA ECHO Pakistan Pakistan Society of Hepatology - PSH Project ECHO World Hepatitis Alliance Asad Chaudhry

This year Dr. Asad Choudhry is awarded the PSH Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Asad has been awarded for decades of commitment towards the cause of eliminating Hepatitis in Pakistan. He is Vice-chairman of PARSA Trust Gujranwala, Member The Health Foundation Karachi, Member Technical Advisory Group of the PM Hepatitis Elimination Program Pakistan. He is the founder and lead of the Project ECHO movement in Pakistan, and PARSA ECHO is the only Superhub of Project ECHO in Pakistan. Since 2006, with the generous support of philanthropists, thousands of patients have received free treatment for hepatitis B & C. The Pakistan Society of Hepatology congratulates Dr. Asad for this prestigious award for his services.

Ghulam Kamar, a vegetable seller from Gujranwala, fought his way back to health after being treated by a doctor trained through the PARSA ECHO Pakistan Hepatitis series.
This documentary was filmed on August 3rd, 2023, in Gujranwala during the city’s extreme afternoon heat around 2 pm.
We presented his story at the MetaECHO Conference 2023, showing how the ECHO model empowers healthcare providers and changes lives.
