In the program “The Forum,” Jaaved Khan Jadoon discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, stating that US President Donald Trump has rejected proposals sent by Iran through Pakistan, dealing a serious blow to ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran. Pakistan is reportedly playing a facilitation and backchannel diplomatic role between the two sides. Iran, however, has rejected US conditions, calling them equivalent to “surrender,” insisting that any deal must include an end to war, lifting of sanctions, restoration of frozen assets, and compensation for war damages. The discussion also highlighted concerns that escalating tensions could impact global energy markets and oil prices, while Iran’s leadership appears to be maintaining a firm and assertive stance.
