The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started planning to introduce the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in Islamabad to cater growing transportation needs of the city.
The options include a 30.5km route from Rawat to Faisal Mosque, a 13.7km route from N5 (G.T. road) to Pakistan Monument via Srinagar Highway, a 27.5km route from Rawat (T-Chowk) to 26 No Stop on G.T. road, and a 10.4km route from Pirwadhai to Faizabad via the IJP road.
