NGC and Explore Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen Technical Skills Development
In order to strengthen technical skills development, a meeting between representatives of the National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) and the Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) was held on July 1, 2026, to explore avenues of mutual interest in the fields of technical training, workforce development, and capacity building.
The meeting, arranged by the Learning & Capability Development Directorate of NGC, served as a platform for both organizations to discuss opportunities for collaboration between NGC's TSG Training Centers and TEVTA, with the objective of enhancing the quality of technical education and developing a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of the energy and industrial sectors.
The NGC delegation comprised Engr. Amjad Ali, General Manager (TSG), NGC Lahore; Engr. Muhammad Arif, Chief Engineer (TSG), North; Mr. Muhammad Tahir Nadeem, Director General, HR (COE), NGC; Mr. Amjad Islam, Director Learning & Capability Development, NGC; and Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim, General Manager (Media & Public Relations), NGC.
Representing TEVTA was Mr. Muaz Saleem, Additional Director General, TEVTA, and Mr. Atif Mazoor, Director, TEVTA.
The discussions concluded on a positive note, with both organizations expressing their willingness to formalize future collaboration by signing an MOU that will support the strengthening of TSG Training Centers and national human resource development.

🏆 NGC Officers Continue to Lead at WASC | Another Milestone of Excellence!
We are immensely proud to announce that Hafiz Muhammad Salman Saeed, Deputy Manager 220kV New Kot Lakhpat Grid Station, has secured the 🥇 1st Position in the 9-Week Middle Management Course (MMC) at the WAPDA Administrative Staff College (WASC), Islamabad!
This remarkable achievement is yet another testament to NGC's culture of excellence — where our officers don't just participate; they lead.
The graduation ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Engr. Muhammad Aamir, CEO FESCO, whose participation added great prestige to the occasion.

DMD (AD&M) Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto Inspects
220 kV Grid Station Hala Road Hyderabad, Reviews System Stability, Maintenance & HSE Compliance
Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto, DMD (AD&M) NGC paid a visit to 220 kV Grid Station Hala Road Hyderabad on 24 June 2026 with the specific purpose of reviewing the overall system stability, maintenance and HSE protocols being observed at the grid station, with particular focus on the system loading of 220/132kV, 250 MVA Auto Transformers installed there during ongoing summer season.
During his visit, Mr. Bhutto carried out a thorough review of the operational and maintenance practices in place at the station. He was given a detailed briefing by senior officials Engr. General Manager Muhammad Rafique , Engr. Muhammad Akram Dharejo GM /PD Hyderabad, Chief Engr. Zulfiquar Ali Solangi C.E and Engr.Misri Khan Multan and the representatives of the Consultant.
The briefing covered several key aspects, including the preventive and predictive maintenance schedules being followed for Grid equipment, compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine inspection, testing and adherence to HSE protocols.The team also briefed Mr. Bhutto on the steps undertaken to ensure continued and reliable dispersal of the power system at the station during the ongoing summer season within available Transformation.
Following the briefing and his on-site assessment, Mr. Rasheed A. Bhutto commended the efforts of the grid station staff and management for their diligence in maintaining system reliability and strict adherence to safety standards.
