🌱 History
09 years old boy with history of fever for one & half week.
🌱 Findings
Liver shows slightly altered parenchymal echotexture. Liver measures 136 mm in the mid-clavicular line, suggesting mild hepatomegaly for age. Gallbladder appears edematous with wall thickness about 11 mm. Peri-cholecystic fluid seen. Mild free fluid is present in Morrison's pouch. No focal liver lesion seen. Intrahepatic biliary channels are not dilated.
🌱 Impression
Sonographic features suggest acute hepatocellular inflammation with mild hepatomegaly, gallbladder wall edema, and ascites. Acute viral hepatitis is a clinical possibility. DD Dengue
🌱 Suggestion
Correlation with clinical findings, CBC, LFTs, and viral markers is recommended. Follow-up ultrasound as clinically required.
