1 اے رب، میری باتوں پر کان لگا، میرے دھیان پر غور کر۔
2 اے میرے بادشاہ اور میرے خدا میری فریاد کی آواز سن کیونکہ میں تجھ سے دعا کروں گا۔
3 اے رب، صبح کو تو میری آواز سنے گا۔ صبح کو میں اپنی دعا تیرے پاس کروں گا، اور اوپر دیکھوں گا۔
4 کیونکہ تُو ایسا خُدا نہیں ہے جو شرارت سے خوش ہو اور نہ ہی بدی تیرے ساتھ رہے گی۔
5 بے وقوف تیرے سامنے کھڑے نہیں ہوں گے، تُو تمام بدکاروں سے نفرت کرتا ہے۔
6 تُو اُن کو ہلاک کر دے جو اُجرت کی باتیں کرتے ہیں: خُداوند خونخوار اور دھوکے باز سے نفرت کرے گا۔
7 لیکن جہاں تک میرا تعلق ہے، میں تیری رحمت کے ہجوم میں تیرے گھر میں آؤں گا اور تیرے خوف سے تیری مقدس ہیکل کی طرف سجدہ کروں گا۔
8 اَے خُداوند، میرے دشمنوں کے سبب سے اپنی راستبازی میں میری رہنمائی کر۔ میرے سامنے اپنا راستہ سیدھا کر۔
9 کیونکہ اُن کے منہ میں وفا نہیں ہے۔ اُن کا باطن بہت بُرا ہے۔ ان کا گلا کھلی قبر ہے۔ وہ اپنی زبان سے چاپلوسی کرتے ہیں۔
10 اَے خُدا، تُو اُن کو تباہ کر۔ اُنہیں اُن کے اپنے مشوروں سے گرنے دو۔ اُن کو اُن کے گناہوں کی کثرت میں نکال باہر کر۔ کیونکہ انہوں نے تیرے خلاف بغاوت کی ہے۔
11 لیکن وہ سب جو تجھ پر بھروسا رکھتے ہیں خوشی منائیں: وہ ہمیشہ خوشی سے چلائیں کیونکہ تو ان کا دفاع کرتا ہے۔
12 کیونکہ تُو اَے خُداوند، راستبازوں کو برکت دے گا۔ کیا تُو اُسے ڈھال کی طرح گھیرے گا۔
