Happy Children’s Day to all your children, grandchildren, and your inner children 😉 We’ve had a lovely day with our kids, eating ice-cream, home-made cake (with strawberries, obviously!), and playing our favorite board game, which happens to be… travel-related. It runs in the blood, I guess 🤷‍♀️

It’s finally that time of the year when the body of an average Polish person is at least 70% made of these delicious fruits.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce the Polish national treasure: strawberries. 🍓🇵🇱

For the next few weeks, Poles will be buying them by the kilo, eating them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and probably a few times in between. With cream, in cakes, in pancakes, in cocktails, or simply straight from the bowl.

If aliens visited Poland in June, they would probably assume strawberries are our national currency 😉

The “Holy Cross Mountains”, Góry Świętokrzyskie, are the oldest mountain range in Poland. 🇵🇱 Poland Introduces New Tourist Incentive to Promote Polish Language and Identity

In a groundbreaking move to promote Poland’s culture and language, the Government of the Republic of Poland has announced a new initiative encouraging tourists to engage with the Polish language during their visit.

Starting this season, visitors who make an effort to speak basic Polish phrases at hotels, restaurants, museums, and other attractions may receive up to 5% discount on services at participating locations.

This program is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen Polish identity abroad and to make the tourist experience more immersive and culturally meaningful.

“Polish is a vital part of our national identity,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. “Encouraging visitors to learn and use the language helps them connect with our history, people, and traditions in a more authentic way.”
