An E2E test isn’t “did it fly?”.
It’s: ✅ did the pipeline work, ✅ was behavior predictable, ✅ did a change break anything else?

Production autonomy = repeatability + system control, not a one-off flight.

Field tests are not production flights.

After simulation and hardware testing, many teams think the system is ready.
We treat field tests as another testing stage, not a demo.

Only in the field does the system see real sensors, wind and real disturbances.
This is where we check how autonomy behaves close to real infrastructure.

Field tests help us validate safety and predictable behavior,
before moving to real production flights.

Autonomous drones must be tested before they fly.

We use Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) testing to check autonomy logic in simulation.
In SITL, the drone software runs in a virtual environment instead of a real drone.

This allows us to repeat the same test many times and see how the system behaves.
It helps us find problems early, before real flights.
