The Lear

Hello, my name is Dima.

I was born in Ukraine.
Later, I emigrated to Poland, where I have been living for the last six years.

I started making music seriously about four or five years ago.
Before that, music was always around me.
Since childhood, it has been a natural part of my life, even if I did not take it seriously at first.

I am not very comfortable talking about myself.
Because of that, I prefer to let my music and song lyrics speak for me.

This is my solo music project called The Lear.

The project is focused on post-rock and avant-garde sound, with elements of progressive rock and art rock.
I try to combine partially mainstream ideas with experimental sound.
Sometimes these elements do not fully match, and this contrast is an important part of the project.

The music often has a melancholic and atmospheric mood.

The lyrics cover different themes.
They are about love, unhappy love, inner feelings, and personal experience.
Some songs also touch social injustice, social problems, and sometimes political topics.
