Wrapping up our recommendation series with Daria's choice. (Who is the social media person, so this is a bit meta, hi!)
Watching Frances Ha feels like looking back at a chapter you didn’t realize would shape you. Highly recommended if you're looking to romanticize the uncertainity and grind of your twenties.

Anticipation builds for the new issue, and in the meantime, our team has decided to revisit some nostalgic favorites. Sonia takes us back to 2004 with her choice: the dark fantasy movie, "Van Helsing".
She says: "I watched it when I was 5, and I even remember asking my mom if Van Helsing would come to my fifth birthday. Since that time, I rewatch it every year and remember every line."

🎉Congratulations to our supervisor, prof. Mirosław Miernik, on publication of "An Accidental Pope"!✨🔥
🎉 Congratulations to Mirosław Miernik on the publication of An Accidental Pope: Essays on Frederick Rolfe’s Hadrian the Seventh!
📚 This rich anthology, featuring contributions from Frederic J. Baumgartner, David P. Deavel, Luca Fumagalli, Philip Healy, Richard A. Kaye, and more, fills critical gaps in scholarship on Rolfe’s classic novel.
✨ Exploring literary, political, and religious dimensions, it sheds new light on Rolfe’s blend of Decadence, humor, and camp aesthetics—essential reading for scholars and enthusiasts alike!

We ran two lovely events at this year's Noc Anglistów. Behold the photographic proof attached.
In all seriousness though, we are hugely grateful to anyone who dropped by. It was a pleasure and we hope to see you soon!

Your masterpiece is written and ready to be sent off into the editorial jungle.
Before doing that, taking a smart detour through these tips could make all the difference — and thrill your future editor. ⬇️
The version of your text that you send us is your showcase – your text must be clear and understandable to be accepted. Make sure to double and triple check your text for grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Avoid repetitions, look for synonyms and more egaging ways of phrasing your thoughts.
In the words of William Zinsser:
"Look at the clutter in your text and prune it ruthlessly. Be grateful for anything you can throw away. Reexamine each sentence you put on paper. Is every word doing new work? Can any thought be expressed with more economy? Is anything pompous or pretentious or faddish? Are you hanging on to something useless just because it's beautiful?
Simplify, simplify."
