There are 3 different classifications for the land in Palestine:
1- Area A which is under PA control and you get the deed for it from the Palestinian land department "Tabo” or from what is called “Maliyyah” and this land can be partitioned and building permits are given by the local municipalities.
2- Area C which is divided to 2 kinds:
a) The first kind is totally under Israeli full administrative and military control and in just about all cases this land can’t be partitioned and building permits are denied most of the times.
b) The second is Under Israeli military control but under PA Administrative control " normally land that is within city or village limits. In this case building licenses on such land are obtained from the local municipalities.
The deeds for both kinds of number 2 are obtained from the Israeli side
