A slow start is still a start. The first stitches are officially in, but the final form is completely up in the air.

​Right now, these wings could evolve into Monarchs, or they might transform into something entirely unexpected. That is the beauty of letting the needle lead the way. No rush, just progress.

​What species should they become?

It's been sooooooo long since I last posted a commission piece. This beauty has just arrived in its new home in Vasteras, Sweden.

The stitching was all done with Anchor mouline thread. I am so pleased with the textures and details.

Always a bit bitter sweet sending these off across the world but knowing it is out there brightening up a space in Sweden makes it all worth it.
