Dials Re-imagined. The backdrop to the sweeping hands is where the character of the watch lives.
Built on the rich heritage of Palestinian artisanal craftsmanship, this watch represents my interpretation of history, art, and craft.
Showcasing the beautiful and intricate Ceramic art famous in the city of Hebron (Al-Khaleel) on the lower portion of the dial, intertwined
leaves, branches, and olives are traditionally done in this vivid blue, and are also textured and enameled. The open heart design of the watch
is a love note to my home country, Palestine; where its map exposes the heart of the watch, signifying how Palestine has and always will be in
the hearts. Partial Arabic numerals are present on the dial, printed and textured in a traditional Levantine font. The dial also exhibits an embossed quote from the great Ghassan Kanafani “Bodies Fall, not the idea.” There is a dove carrying an olive branch at the 2 O’clock mark and an inverted
Red Triangle at 12 O’clock.
