PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES – July 9, 2026 – In celebration of its 2nd founding anniversary, the Las Damas de Rizal Doha Chapter reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to community service by extending financial assistance to a cancer patient in need, made possible through the generous contributions of all its members.

The organization presented a donation of Fifty Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Three Pesos (PHP 50,983.00) to Mr. Arestopher of Mexico, Pampanga. The amount, collectively raised by the chapter's dedicated members, will support his ongoing chemotherapy treatment following his diagnosis of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

The donation is part of the chapter's socio-civic advocacy, inspired by the patriotic ideals and teachings of Dr. Jose Rizal. It also serves as a highlight of the organization's second anniversary, which falls on July 13, 2026—marking two years of dedicated service to Filipino communities both in Qatar and the Philippines. The collective generosity of every member reflects the true spirit of bayanihan that the chapter upholds.

The chapter, established on July 13, 2024, has consistently undertaken various outreach projects, from health and wellness initiatives to educational and livelihood support. 💫 A Celebration of Rizalian Spirit and Service: The global Rizalian community gathered once again on the virtual platform of the Las Damas de Rizal Doha Chapter on July 11, 2026, for its highly anticipated Special Webinar Series 7. This landmark session, themed around “Embodying Rizal’s Values in Professional Excellence and Service Abroad,” was made exceptionally monumental as the international assembly stood in proud celebration of the chapter's 2nd Chartering Anniversary. Marking two successful years of civic service, cultural advocacy, and global sisterhood in Qatar, the event beautifully bridged historical legacy with modern professional empowerment.

The virtual doors opened early with a dedicated housekeeping segment ensuring a professional, unified space as participants from across different global time zones set up their official anniversary virtual backgrounds. The formal program commenced with a heartfelt, grounding afternoon invocation delivered by Lady Rowena Udtuhan. Following the prayer, the chapter paid international tribute through the playing of the National Anthems. The session honored its host country by playing the Qatar National Anthem with deep respect and gratitude.

To set the stage for the chapter's upcoming third year of service, Chapter President Lady Dr. Anne Binondo delivered an empowering Welcome Address, thanking the global community for its vital engagement and steadfast commitment to the organization's ideals.

The anniversary milestone was further elevated by a moving, inspirational address from Lady Lina B. Brosas, the Grand Matriarch and Foundress of Las Damas de Rizal. Speaking on the topic “Emulating Dr. Jose Rizal in our Quest for Excellence as Filipino Professionals Abroad/Overseas,” Sir Dennis delivered a powerful masterclass on practical patriotism. "Rizal's greatness was not in his titles, but in his purpose," Sir Dennis emphasized. Drawing from his high-stakes experience in industrial safety and mentorship, he challenged participants to take Rizal's virtues out of the history books and apply them directly to their everyday technical workflows, corporate spaces, and global offices. He outlined three foundational pillars for the modern global professional:

You cannot hide behind Rizal's noble name while betraying the very organization that elevated it to a respected global identity.

To those leaders: If you truly want to serve the Rizalian mission, do it with honor. Have the moral courage to create your own name, build your own history, and forge your own legacy. Stop being a "trying hard" copycat, an imitator, and a replica of someone else's hard work.

Based on recent public postings on social media, Las Damas de Rizal International states clearly that the groups in Texas, Arizona, and the Middle East & Africa using the name Las Damas de Rizal do not represent the original organization founded in Paris in 2007 by Foundress Lady Lina Brosas.

Those who are unable to build a legitimate legacy of their own resort to usurping the name, identity, history, and legacy of others.

They cannot usurp our name, our history, and our legacy, and then hide behind the ideals of Dr. José Rizal while acting with dishonesty, opportunism, cowardice, and disloyalty.

📚 Right on Time for the New School Year! LasDamas DeRizal Doha Chapter Successfully Gears Up Students with "Isang Hakbang, Isang Pangarap" School Drive

Just in time for the new school year opening, the chapter took part in giving school supplies to gear up the students of Brgy Del Pilar, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte. In the spirit of Dr. Jose Rizal's timeless belief that "the youth is the hope of our future," our chapter proudly rolled out the successful charity outreach: "Isang Hakbang, Isang Pangarap (One Step, One Dream): A Back-to-School Blessing Drive."

The initiative aimed to ensure that no learner would walk into their classroom unprepared. We focused our efforts on Del Pilar Elementary School and Del Pilar National High School —thanks to the generosity of the ladies and the dedication of our volunteers, we delivered the following:

• June 28 – Full School Kits for 11 Students: We carefully selected eleven scholars from the most financially challenged households in Brgy Del Pilar—families who, despite their deepest love and hopes for their children, simply could not afford the basic essentials required for school.

These parents watched their children eagerly prepare for class each day, knowing that empty pockets meant empty hands. Yet their children remained remarkably undeterred, waking up each morning with a burning desire to learn, willing to walk the dusty roads to school armed only with determination and big dreams.

We provided complete school kits—brand-new uniforms, sturdy shoes, reliable bags, and a full set of supplies—just days before the school year officially began. Receiving these essentials transformed their anxieties into uncontainable joy. For the first time, they felt equal to their classmates—no longer standing out for what they lacked, but standing tall with what they now had.

It was not merely a handout; it was a powerful confidence booster and a tangible first step toward the dreams they had long held close to their hearts. It proved that their eagerness to learn was finally met with the support they truly deserved.

• June 30 – Elementary Learners Fueled Up: Students from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 6 received their school supplies paired with snacks, ensuring they are both equipped and energized for the days ahead.

• July 1 – High School Ready: Our high school students were given ballpens and snacks, simple yet vital tools to help them tackle the new academic year with focus and determination.

• July 6 – Preschool Kickoff (Tomorrow): As the littlest learners step into their classrooms on opening day, we will be there with a special snack distribution—because even the youngest dreamers deserve a sweet start.

By taking part in this timely effort, Las Damas de Rizal Doha Chapter made sure that students didn't just receive materials—they received the message that their community believes in them. A new bag, a pair of shoes, and a complete set of supplies are not mere gifts; they are the armor these children need to face the school year with pride and hope.
