Parasympathetic nerves, used in healing and repair systems, are predominantly alkaline. In contrast, sympathetic nerves, used in fight or flight, are predominantly acidic. The more acidic we become, the more these sympathetic nerves are stimulated and the more difficult it becomes to experience a happy state.
