The Sons assemblage. Author: Hakaro. Size: 35cm x 21cm Material: wood, metal, plastic.
The "Sons" assemblage is a unique author's work using three-dimensional details and entire objects of the Soviet period. The work is devoted to the theme of the Soviet family, in particular two sons. Material: wood, plastic, metal. It has a suspension for wall mounting..I live in a fairly old house built in the late 50s of the last century…Previously, people living in the same house knew each other, but now everyone has become almost strangers to each other.…Apartments began to be sold, tenants began to change more often, people began to change their place of residence more often…People die, are born, marry, get married, have children, wives, husbands, mothers-in-law, mothers-in-law, great-grandfathers... Everything flows and everything changes in life…Last week, someone apparently died in the next doorway... and, as usual, relatives or new apartment owners show up and begin repairs. Beforehand, of course, they clean the old apartment of unnecessary things.…There are no previous owners and nobody needs the "junk" anymore. So this time, the workers who carried out the repairs took out all the unnecessary items and piled them in a pile at the entrance. A dumpster is about to arrive, and everything will be thrown into it. I saw an old desk drawer in the pile and asked the worker standing next to me to pick it up. He handed it to me without a word. There were some small items and an old photograph in the desk drawer. The photo most likely dates back to the 20-30s of the 20th century.…It shows a family. A husband, wife, and two boys who look very much like each other. On the back is the signature "Romanenko"..... I couldn't throw away everything that was in the old drawer and assembled what was in the drawer, adding something from myself and called the assemblage "Sons".
