September may have ended, but the need for compassion, awareness, and action has not.💛
As National Su***de Prevention Month comes to a close, we’re reminded that mental health doesn’t follow a calendar. The struggles, the pain, and the silent battles continue, long after the hashtags slow down.
The truth is: su***de prevention is not a monthly campaign. It’s a daily commitment and we are supposed to raise continuous awareness.
It’s in the texts we send, the conversations we start, the stigma we challenge, and the spaces we hold for one another every single day.
Let’s carry the spirit of September forward: Keep listening even when it’s uncomfortable, Keep asking, “How are you, really?” Keep sharing resources and messages of hope. Keep reminding those around them that they are not alone.
Awareness is not a trend. It’s a lifeline. And that lifeline is needed today, tomorrow, and always.
Let’s continue to be the light for each other, long after the calendar turns.
LET’S END SU***DES🙏

💚 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY💚
Today, we pause to honor lives lost to su***de, support those who are struggling, and raise awareness about the importance of mental health. At the Chali Mutale Foundation, we believe that hope and connection can change everything, and that no one should ever feel alone in their journey.
🌱Some Gentle Ways to Recenter & Restore:
🧠 Pause & Breathe:
Try the 4-7-8 method: Inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8.
Or ground yourself: 5 things you see, 4 you touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste.
💬 Talk It Out:
You don’t need to carry the weight alone. Reach out to a friend, family member, or mentor. Sharing even one feeling can lighten the load.
🎶 Find Joy in Small Things:
Take a walk. Dance to your favorite song. Watch a comfort movie. Eat that snack you love. Little joys matter.
🌍 Connect with Others:
Send a text to someone you miss. Join a community, a group, or even a short online activity. You belong here.
📔 Reflect with Kindness:
Write down 3 things or people you’re grateful for. Send a thank-you note or voice message. And above all, thank yourself for making it through the day.
💡 Remember This
You are doing great, even if you don’t always hear it.
You are valued, loved, and needed.
Sometimes, all it takes is one voice, one hand, one reminder, or one person who listens, to choose life again.

Your mental health is a priority. Your silence has carried it long enough. Speak to someone. We are here to listen.
Let’s change the narrative ⛓️💥
In times of crisis, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and alone. But you don't have to carry that burden by yourself. Professionals are trained to provide a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings without judgment.
If you or someone you know is struggling, remember that professional help is available. It could be the lifeline you need.
Together, Let us Change the Su***de Narrative!

LET’S SEE STATS 📊
7 in 10 Zambian students in Russia at least has or encounters significant levels of stress, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and depression.
The immense pressure to succeed both academically and financially to justify family expectations is a major stressor.
A report from the Embassy highlighted that over 80% of the students with mental health conditions do not seek help due to stigma, fear of discrimination, and a lack of culturally competent services.
This is why the Chali Mutale Foundation was founded and this makes it to be in a very critical position. Our work will not only provide support but also begin to support the concrete ways to help such students.

It’s very hard for someone to accept and move on from severe trauma, abuse, or profound loss by themselves is like expecting someone to set their own broken leg without a cast or doctor.
The brain needs help through therapy, support groups, and sometimes medication to regulate itself and process the memory correctly.
