School Garden Planting Day at Paddy Paddy Foundation Secondary School, Mabolleh Community🌽🌱

What an incredible day of learning and action!

We kicked off with a training workshop where students were introduced to the SDG's and identified which ones our School Garden project promotes. They also learned about teamwork, the importance of school garden activities, and how this initiative supports the government's priority Feed Salone program.

To deepen their understanding, we explored principles from The Way to Happiness—especially "Take care of your environment" and "Learn to do things well."

After the workshop, students and teachers moved to the garden site, where they were taught practical skills like using a measuring tape and proper plant spacing. Then, everyone was divided into groups—each assigned seed beds to plant maize.

By the end of the day, our students gained rich knowledge—both theory and hands-on practice—bringing the SDGs and The Way to Happiness principles to life.

Together, we're not just planting seeds. We're planting the seeds that will provide food for our classrooms. 💚

SCHOOL LIVELIHOOD AND EDUCATION PROJECT

This project is led by our students — with teachers and the community actively helping to build seed beds for planting.

On Planting Day, children will step outside to apply with their own hands, turning lessons into living, growing food that will provide food right in our classroom.
