"The arrest of Dr. Ali Kabba" Ali Kabba,like him or loathe him is a grassroots and radical politician. He is one the shakers and movers in the opposition SLPP Party. He shot to political limelight when he became the unopposed student union president in FBC the athens of West Africa and theatre of dreams. He shot to political prominence after he was arrested and detained at the Pa Demba's prison in Freetown by then authocratic and myopic leader late Siaka Steven. Ali Kabba was later removed from prison and travelled to Ghana,Nigeria and the United State Of America. After he travelled to the state he became a stunch critique of the APC. Ali was considered a positive radical by good number of Sierra Leoneans including yours truly even though I am not a supporter of Ali Kabba but I have respect for his radicalism. I am 100% Bio! I call on all SLPP members to rally behind Alie Kabba and hunt this reckless and useless government. Today is Alie,tomorrow may be Austine,Tiffa,Jack,Keks,Abdul,ABJ,Garrick,Numu,Prince,Rolling Stone,Junior etc. I pause for now.

WHAT JULIUS MAADA BIO DID AT 28 YEARS

OUR CONSTITUTION)
When Maada passes around, all he receives are
insults from yellow journalism. A lot of character
assassination from within and outside the party
he has now associated with. “ if we have failed to
reward patriotism, we will not fail to enjoy
tyranny”
He was young and prone to a lot of mistakes. At
a time when nobody could dare to openly criticise
the ruthless rule of the Siaka Steven led APC (an
Association of Prominent Criminals), a young
school boy had to abandon his academic works
to start the process of liberation.
Julius Maada Bio then left his academics to join
the military so that he could be part of a group of
officers to save the nation from a dictatorship
that is now being replicated by the present
dispensation. To him, dying trying to free his
people was better than reading for a doctorate
degree on common wealth scholarship.
Julius Maada Bio leapt to prominence when he
reminded his fellow officers of the duty they owed
to the nation. They were all young and
immediately forgot the true intent of the coup. It
was designed to unseat a barbaric system and
start a process of an ever living democracy in our
nation. In Captain Strasser’s maiden speech, he
said they have overthrown the APC that had torn
our country apart on nepotism, tribalism ,,,,,,etc.
He said never will they be again. Soon after, our
young officers allowed egocentric politicians to
derail dear dreams.
Julius Maada Bio as ever remained focused and
took power from the grip of his colleagues (who
had surrounded themselves with desperate
politicians) to start a journey to our democracy.
As a nationalist, a patriot, and one who cares very
much for the welfare of his people, Maada did not
abuse the constitution to run in the election he
was to conduct like Jammeh, or like recently in
Egypt. He remained true to his conscience,
conducted a free and fair election that ushered in
our first democratically elected president.
Never had Maada being accorded the due respect
he deserves. Instead, every irresponsible citizen
has being paid to ridicule his work. Some say he
was compelled by international pressure to
conform. Now that a democratically elected
government has used powers to declare a
candidate who got less than 2,000 votes to
represent his people as against one who pulled
over 12,000 vote, now that the process of electing
the speaker of the house of parliament had been
tempered with unconstitutionally, now that our
elected vice president has been unconstitutionally
relieved of his office and all the cries of our
people fall on deaf ears, a true and honest peace
loving citizen can only attribute Maada’s effort to
give power to a democratically elected civilian
government to his love for his country.
Maada, you and only few will ignore the sweets of
power to do what is expected and what you
swore to do. If many do not know why we love
and follow you, it is because at a very young age,
you had proved to us that our safety is better
than all the sweets that a stay in power could
have accorded you. We will live our lives for you
and lay it for you if it so pleases time.
Long live Rtd. Brig. Julius Maada Bio! Long live
Sierra Leone! Even as we mourn our democracy.

FREETOWN, Sierra Leone – As I
write, Sierra Leone former VP Sam Sumana and
his legal team headed by Jenkins Johnston and
Yada Williams are filing suit against President
Koroma in Sierra Leone High Court for
unconstitutional removal from office but would he
succeed? The current Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court, Hon. Justice Valesius Thomas, a
loyal Lieutenant of President Koroma was sworn
into office last month by President Koroma to act
as Chief Justice while Chief Justice Umu Tejan-
Jalloh proceed on terminal leave effective
February 6th, 2015.
For Hon. Justice Valesius Thomas to hold that
post permanently he would have to rule for
President Koroma in any case filed by VP Sam
Sumana. President Koroma must have courted his
approval before taking this unilateral,
undemocratic and unconstitutional decision to
replace him, that's without a question .
Furthermore, Hon. Justice Valesius Thomas can
postpone / adjourn decision as long and as
needed to drag the process long enough to the
completion of the two years left for the next
general elections.
In effect, this is a losing battle with a corrupt
judiciary waiting to rule for the President. Sierra
Leone Judiciary system is on trial once again -
against persistent reports from EU and DFiD
among others citing them as one of the
institutions that impede democracy and the rule
of law.

The entire world is behind Sam Ansumana. We are
watching. If something will happen to him be ready
then for the music and you must dance to the
tune. Men of all background have shown their
unfettered solidarity towards him. Political divide
and partisanship is set aside in defense of justice.
People of diverse religious creeds have made
known their unfettered compassion toward Sam
Ansumana.
In all regions of the country the voices are high.
The APC as a national party can be led by anyman
irrespective of religion, tribe or region. He will not
be intimidated. You will never pursue third term. All
those who instigate tribal and political violence
starting from the president will face the books of
the International criminal Court. NOT IN Sierra
Leone will there be third term...
The world community is watching and you have
not said that they are late to come in and help
clear the mess you have created...Don't mess with
the constitution and Sam Ansumana goes no
where... You have transformed a national party
into a tribal and regional cult.... "The man na kono
man, the man na mende man, the man na south
easterner... " Siaka Stevens hailed from Moyamba.
HIM and liked able men of grassroots background
created the APC that dismantled the cannons of
SLPP Margai tribalism.
1967 without the Kono votes and the support of
the Sons and daughters of that land Siaka Stevens
and the APC would not have attain such height.
Overnight even after the TRC WARNING you
continue doing the same thing that lead us to civil
war. Tribalism, regionalism, alienation of non -
northerners, corruption, suppression of alternative
views,arrest and mistreatment of opponents,
looting and broad day light robbery of the national
treasury, fear tactics, intimidation, lack of
transparent use of the peoples resources, shady
mining deals with companies, use of brute force...
Don't take the country back. YOU will not escape
accountability... You will run but not hide. The
walls of the International criminal Court is always
open.."
