🏆⚽ Our girls did it — CHAMPIONS of the Bo First Division!

We are so proud of the JCC Girls Football Team! They have won the Bo First Division Football League — and they didn't concede a single goal throughout the entire season. Not one. 🎉

This is what JCC is made of. Hard work, determination, unity, and faith in God. These young women have made Bo proud, they have made JCC proud, and we know they have made their families proud.

But the journey isn't over. They are heading into the regional playoffs — and their first match is this Friday. 💙

🎒💉 HPV Vaccination at JCC—Protecting Our Girls’ Future

Last week, a team from the Ministry of Health & Sanitation, Sierra Leone visited the JCC school to administer the HPV vaccine to eligible girls (with parent/guardian consent). This important vaccine helps protect against cervical cancer later in life.

We are grateful to the MoHS nurses and our teachers for a smooth, well-organised day. If your child missed the vaccination, please contact your nearest PHU/clinic for catch-up information.

At JCC, caring for children means supporting both education and health. Thank you, parents and caregivers, for partnering with us!

Midweek encouragement! Scripture Union meets on the JCC campus to read God’s Word, pray, and encourage one another to live for Christ at school and at home. All students are welcome.

Our Vice Principle, Mr Coomber, said:

“Scripture Union (SU) is a non-profit, and non- denominational Christian organization that focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and missions among young people. It aims at encouraging young people to read, study and apply the Bible to their daily lives, which will help them develop a strong Christian faith and values. Its major operation is in secondary school’s, having weekly lunch time fellowship among students.

Scripture Union is committed to its mission of bringing young people to faith in Jesus Christ and nurturing them to become effective leaders and agents of positive change in their communities and beyond.”

🎉 Infant Care Centre: Getting Ready to Open in Bo!

By God’s grace, construction is complete. We’re now moving in furniture and baby essentials so we can begin receiving newborns who lose their mums during childbirth. This centre is for Bo and surrounding communities. We will work with local hospitals and PHUs for quick, safe referrals. (The ICC is not a hospital—it’s a short-term, loving care home while family support is arranged.)

🙏 Please pray with us: for wisdom for our staff, protection over every baby, and that news of the ICC reaches the families and health workers who need it most.

The exterior plastering is complete on our new two-classroom block, and we’re moving on to painting and installing windows next. These bright, well-ventilated rooms will give our pupils an even better place to learn. Thank you to our builders, CTA/parents, and supporters for pushing this over the line!
