Even under the heaviest rains, our hustle does not stop. At EMaSFSA, we believe that true commitment to environmental protection means standing firm, rain or shine, for the sake of our people and our planet.
The storms remind us of the urgency of climate change the floods, the landslides, the destruction. But instead of giving up, we rise stronger. Every tree we plant, every mangrove we restore, every farm we protect is an act of love for our community and a shield against the climate crisis.
The rain may soak our clothes, but it cannot wash away our determination. Our hustle is powered by hope, rooted in resilience, and driven by the belief that a safe, green, and sustainable future is possible for all.
🌧️💪🏾 For the love of our community, we hustle through the storm because climate action cannot wait.

Today, on World Environment Day, a day meant to celebrate the beauty and resilience of our planet we are heartbroken by the loss of one of its greatest guardians: Mr. Eric Hubbard.
At EMaSFSA Sierra Leone, we mourn not only a leader in the climate movement, but a true partner in purpose. Eric was more than an environmental expert. He was a visionary who believed deeply in community-led change, in nature-based solutions, in a circular green economy, and most of all in young people.
His tireless work to restore forests, empower local action, and build sustainable futures, especially through projects like , has left an undeniable mark not just on landscapes, but on lives.
To lose him on World Environment Day is a deeply painful irony. But it is also a powerful reminder that his mission lives on in all of us. His vision, his voice, his values these are the seeds he has left behind, and it is now our duty to ensure they grow.
Rest in power, Mr. Eric Hubbard.
Your roots run deep, and your legacy will forever guide the work we do.

We are truly honored to have played a role in the recent visit of the Yale University School of the Environment delegation to Freetown. As a proud partner and tree nursery supplier for the initiative, it was a privilege to host Professor Karen Seto, Director Colleen Murphy-Dunning of the Hixon Center for Urban Sustainability, and their dedicated graduate students at our nursery site in Songo.
Their engagement with our team and youth growers was both energizing and encouraging. It affirmed the value of grassroots environmental action and the importance of nurturing global partnerships to advance climate resilience and urban sustainability.
We are particularly inspired by the fact that the “FreetownTheTreeTown” capstone course was born from a lecture delivered by the Mayor of Freetown at Yale’s Hixon Center in August 2023—an incredible example of how local impact can spark global academic collaboration.
We applaud the leadership of Freetown’s Mayor and all partners for making this vision a reality and look forward to strengthening our collaboration with Yale University and other stakeholders as we work together to and continue through climate action.
