After years of oppression by the Midianites , Gideon answered God's call on behalf of the Israelites.Scripture tells us that "The Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon",(Judges 6:34) Thirty -two thousand men came to fight..The Lord told Gideon that there were too many men in the army ..He did not want Israel to be able to brag about winning the battle because of their large number.He wanted them to be convinced that He alone had made them triumph and given them the Victory..... 🔥
My bible tells me ; "When the enemy shall come in like a flood ,the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him
