13 Years of Impact – A Personal Tribute to PAN-SL

Today, I celebrate 13 years of the Patriotic Advocacy Network Sierra Leone (PAN-SL)—a movement built not just on patriotism, but on action, courage, and an unshakable commitment to youth empowerment and civic responsibility.

My journey with PAN-SL is one I hold deeply with pride and gratitude. From winning the 2018 Storytelling Festival they organized, to volunteering at the National Body, to serving within—and eventually heading—the Media Department, PAN-SL has been more than an organization to me. It has been a shaping force.

As a Script Writer and Creative Director on several of its projects, I was given the space to create, to lead, and to challenge narratives. PAN-SL did not just give me opportunities—it entrusted me with responsibility. And in that trust, I found growth.

It is within this movement that my voice was sharpened, my purpose refined, and my identity as a storyteller and creative truly formed. Much of what I am known for today carries the fingerprints of PAN-SL’s influence—its discipline, its vision, and its belief in the power of young people to drive change.

For 13 years, PAN-SL has continued to raise patriots who do more than speak—they act. Who do more than dream—they build. And I am honored to be counted among those it has impacted.

As we celebrate this milestone, I remain grateful for the journey, proud of the legacy, and hopeful for the future.
