Shear Force and Bending Moment Calculations
1. Reaction Forces at the Supports:
Reaction at A (Ay) is calculated by balancing vertical forces:Ay + Cy = 60 kN
Reaction at C (Cy) is calculated by summing moments at A:Cy = 20 kN
Reaction at A is found as:
Ay = 40 kN

SFD (Shear Force Diagram) & BMD (Bending Moment Diagram) are extremely important in structural engineering and construction:
