HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Today PAGE Initiative ( Persistent Advocacy for Girls Empowerment) celebrates the tribalizers, the young women whom our heart beats for and reason why we exist. We join Sierra Leoneans and the global community in celebrating your resilience, brilliance, and leadership surfacing in all spheres of society everywhere.
We reaffirm our commitment to dismantling the barriers that limit the potential of young women and girls. We believe that when young women are empowered to lead, development becomes a culture, change signal through, communities gain strength, power is diversified and equity becomes a norm.
To the fierce women of Page Initiative and the trailblazers everywhere: your audacity is our inspiration. We aren't just celebrating your light; we're here to help you set the world on fire.

PAGE Initiative was honored to participate in the She Goes Digital training organized by the Mano River Youth Network and Defence for Children International. This two-day training aimed at equipping young female activists and advocates with vital digital skills in filmmaking and graphic design.
Throughout the training, PAGE Initiative gained valuable knowledge and practical skills, and we are now well-positioned to cascade this training to our members, volunteers, and staff—ensuring the impact reaches far beyond the initial session.
Special thanks to the Foundation for Youth Empowerment for their continued support and dedication to empowering young changemakers across the region.
Title: Celebrating the African Child*
Today, we honor the African Child—bold, resilient, and full of dreams. This day reminds us of the rights every child deserves: education, protection, love, and a chance to grow without fear.
Across Africa, children face challenges, but they also carry the power to lead change. Let’s stand together to support their voices, invest in their futures, and create safe spaces for them to thrive.
Every child matters. Every voice counts.
Let’s rise for the African child—not just today, but every day.

*Menstrual Hygiene Day – Speak Up, Stand Proud*
To every young girl out there: your voice matters. Your period is not something to hide, whisper about, or feel ashamed of. Menstruation is a sign of strength, of life, and of the beauty of being a woman.
Today, we celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day to break the silence and end the stigma. It's time to speak up. Ask questions. Share your experiences. Support one another. You are not alone—and you are not dirty, weak, or less because you menstruate.
Speak up so that others know it's okay to talk about periods. Speak up so that schools, families, and communities can listen, learn, and change. Speak up so that no girl ever has to miss school, suffer in silence, or feel shame again.
This is your body. This is your health. And this is your power.
Let’s stand together—for dignity, for health, and for change. 💪🏽❤️🩸
