Monkeypox is a rare viral disease that can occur in humans and animals. It is caused by the monkeypox virus, which belongs to the same family of viruses as smallpox.

* Fever
* Headache
* Muscle aches
* Backache
* Swollen lymph nodes
* Rash that can appear on the face, hands, feet, mouth, or ge****ls
The rash usually starts as flat, red lesions that progress to raised bumps, blisters, and then scabs. The scabs typically fall off after 2-4 weeks.
