I had the opportunity to successfully participate in the World Bank/IFC Food Safety Handbook Training held from 14–16 April 2026 at the World Bank Office in Sierra Leone.
The IFC training covered key food safety prerequisites, including cross-contamination, the importance of food safety, development of food safety management systems, and prerequisite programs (PRPs). It also involved practical sessions using PRP worksheets, as well as topics such as food defense and food fraud—covering their scope, assessment, mitigation measures, and planning.
This training equips food producers with the knowledge to build robust HACCP systems (hazard analysis) and strengthens a sustainable food safety culture across operations.
I am confident that this experience will further enhance my commitment to producing high-quality poultry feed, powered by Hendrix (Trouw Nutrition, Nutreco, Netherlands).
