Day 3 – World Menstrual Hygiene Month 💛
This one arrives with a heart bursting with gratitude ,and is worth celebrating.
Remember Smart Healthcare, Smarter Learning (SHSL)? Our incredible Dutch partners who listened, believed, and chose to invest in girls in Sierra Leone?
Today, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve completed another activity with them, this time reaching three schools in Bombali.
But here’s what makes this special—
We didn't just hand out our reusable pads. We delivered knowledge and power.
Through SHSL’s Family Life Education Program (FLEP), our girls are now equipped with vital lessons on:
I. Puberty – no more fear, only facts.
II. Reproductive health – understanding their bodies, protecting their futures.
III. Managing periods with dignity – because no girl should ever feel ashamed of being a girl.
Let’s pause and give flowers where they’re due. 🌸
To Piet and the entire SHSL Foundation, thank you for believing in more than products. Thank you for believing that educated girls change the world. You don’t just fund projects; you fuel dreams.
To school leaders like Mrs. Kumba Sesay, your doors, your hearts, and your leadership made this real. We couldn't have done this without you.
And to the girls, keep learning, keep rising, keep bleeding in peace.
You are brilliant. You are powerful. You are why we wake up every day and do this work.
This isn’t a transaction.
This is transformation.
This is what partnership looks like when love meets action.
We are not stopping.
Day 4 is coming… and trust us you don’t want to miss it. 💛

This World Menstrual Hygiene Month, we did it at SheCures with our Partners
And we want the world to see what love looks like in action.
It has been a tough month for us. Sorting orders. Massive washable pad production. Radio engagements. Partnerships that push our mission to the next level. Some days we were tired. But we never stopped. Because a girl in Bombali, Falaba, Kailahun, Freetown or Bo was waiting for us.
For us at SheCures, menstrual health is about so much more than the product we produce.
It is about dignity – the right to bleed without shame.
It is about access – a pad within reach, not a luxury.
It is about safety – no infections, no fear, no hiding.
It is about the freedom to ask questions – to speak, to learn, to know your own body without judgment.
And this month, we saw that exactly with our partnerships.
In the following days, you will see all of our work from this month's activities. But first, let us look at our strategic partnership with The Empowered Girls Advocacy providing education and our long-lasting, safe reusable pads to girls who need them most in Bombali.
Because when a girl has a pad that lasts and a mentor who listens? She does not just survive her period. She rises.
Stay tuned. More stories coming. 💛
