SUSPECT ARRESTED WITH COUNTERFEIT US DOLLARS

The Uganda police force, has apprehended a Ugandan based in Juba with counterfeit US dollars.

According to a press release on Saturday by the Uganda police force says, "Further investigations revealed that the suspect, Nkurunugi Kenneth serves as a military trainer in Juba."

"He had returned to Kampala, Uganda for a vacation on August 19, 2023, with plans to return to Juba on September 19, 2023, but extended his stay". a statement read.

Juba Gets First Female Mayor

Central Equatoria Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has appointed Flora Gabriel Modi as the Mayor of Juba - becoming the first woman to serve in the position since independence.

Adil has also appointed Mogga Franco Wani as the First Deputy Mayor for Administration and Finance, Thiik Thiik Mayardit as the Second Deputy Mayor for Social Service, and Emmanuel Juma Diyo as the Third Deputy Mayor for Environment and Waste Management.

Public Notice: Junubin Chronicles Executive Director (ED) is missing.

We would like to inform our members, colleagues, partners, and the general public that Junubin Chronicles Executive Director, Mr. Biar Ajak Marol was officially declared missing yesterday, Thursday, 5th October 2023, after a missing persons report was made by friends and family at the Central Police in Juba Town.

Biar left his house on Wednesday, 5th October, 2023, in the early morning, wearing a white and blue English football Jersey and a grey sweatpant alone without notifying his colleagues at the Junubin Chronicles of his whereabouts. He however, never returned home prompting his colleagues to report him missing and initiate a search party that led to his Subaru B4 number plate SSD 483 AG being located next to the Freedom Bridge at Lologo intact but the car keys missing and no witness saw him thereafter.

We therefore request the members of the public should anybody see him, to report to the nearest police station or call the following contact for information; 0928888972, 0923155570, 0921002330.
