Something so simple that it should be common sense, yet I bet many of you would be like me reading this having a mini moment of 'aHa'. Why aren't we taught in schools? Why haven't our parents told us that? Maybe because they never thought about it too? Or maybe it has a negative association with 'thinking for yourself = selfishness' ? I won't be surprised if such self-empowerment thought is guarded instead of encouraged due to fear of 'empowering oneself'. Afterall, a school requires a certain conformity so huge group of students can sit together in a room and listen as a class. While for parents, if the child is to love himself first, they will feel unloved. Whatever the intention is, as we learn what the lack of selflove can do to us in areas of feeling worthy of oneself, and what selflove can do when we pour into ourselves, make sure to love yourself more than ever. ~ Gloria * Allure x Alchemy
