SSPDF chief directs former opposition forces to prepare for integration

The Newly Appointed Chief of Defence Forces of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF), Gen. Santino Deng Wol Chok has directed former opposition groups that joined the government to remain on standby for possible integration into the national army.

SUMMARY OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREES!

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a series of Republican decrees announced this evening on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), effecting key changes in government positions.

The decrees are as follows:

1. Salvatore Garang Mabiordit has been relieved of his duties as Minister of Finance and Planning and replaced by Kuol Daniel Ayulo.

2. Clement Juma Ongonae has been appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

3. Julius Tabuley Daniel has been dismissed as Deputy Minister of Public Service and Human Resources Development and replaced by Mahjoub Biel Turuk.

4. Santino Deng Wol has been removed as Undersecretary for Veteran Affairs in the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and replaced by Gen. Dr. Paul Nang Majok.

5. Gen. Dr. Paul Nang Majok has been relieved of his role as Chief of Defence Forces of the SSPDF and replaced by Gen. Santino Deng Wol.
