Yesterday, the Jama Tech Ltd team rolled out its Project Green Loop outreach program at Bright Boma Star Mixed Day & Boarding School, and the energy from the student leaders was nothing short of incredible!

The Jama Tech Ltd team kicked off with an interactive, high-energy session bringing together the Environmental and Health Clubs. Together, the team dove deep into local climate realities, the dangers of open garbage burning, and the power of a circular economy to transform South Sudan’s future.

But the team didn’t just talk—it took action! 🧤
Led by these two dynamic student clubs, the team launched a targeted Sorting & Waste Cleansing Campaign. In an inspiring show of leadership, the Founder and Managing Director of Jama Tech Ltd, Isaac Kendi John, joined hands side-by-side with Emma Kwaje, the Executive Director of Banant Power, to dive straight into the cleaning campaign alongside the students.

Armed with protective gear and heavy-duty bags, the Jama Tech Ltd team and leadership teams systematically clean the campus and separated rigid plastic waste from general trash. The team also officially deployed its customized Jama Tech Wire-Mesh Recycling Dustbin—a permanent, transparent hub for the clubs to manage clean plastic bottles.

Where does the plastic go?
Instead of ending up in clogged drains or toxic fires, these plastics will be routed to the Jama Tech Ltd depot. Through green innovation, its team is upcycling this waste into high-value, durable products like school desks and eco-friendly boards! 🛠️✨

This success is made possible thanks to Orange Corners South Sudan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Their 6-month incubation training has equipped Jama Tech Ltd to scale its vision: reducing the national waste problem by 70% by 2030.

The rhythm of the drums shook the ground as the past met the present at the Pojulu Cultural Festival. In a breathtaking display of unity, brotherhood, and deep-rooted tradition, the Azande Kingdom graced the festival, performing in their full, magnificent traditional heritage attire to honor their hosts.

Dressed in exquisitely crafted bark cloth (Kpoto), adorned with intricate beadwork, and carrying ceremonial spears and shields, the Azande dancers brought the spirit of the kingdom straight to the heart of the celebration. Every synchronized movement, every echo of the Kpaningbo (wooden xylophone), and every proud step paid ultimate homage to the shared heritage and beautiful diversity of South Sudan.

This wasn’t just a performance; it was a powerful statement of cultural diplomacy, mutual respect, and the enduring strength of our traditional leadership. When kingdoms and communities dance together, they build bridges that last for generations.
