Growing Hope from the Ground Up!

At Hope Organization for African Development (HOFAD), we believe that true community transformation begins with the soil beneath our feet.

These beautiful green fields you see are part of our HOFAD Farm Initiative, a local effort empowering youth and families through sustainable agriculture. From okra and eggplant to papaya, maize, and watermelon, every plant represents resilience, food security, and the promise of a better tomorrow.

Our team is working hard to promote local farming, irrigation innovation, and environmental sustainability ensuring that communities not only eat well today but also thrive for generations to come.

📸 Take a look at our thriving crops and growing green spaces, each stem a story of dedication, growth, and hope!

A presentation was held at the IOM office on 31 October 2025 regarding the Solar Thermal Pasteuriser technology, which is designed to eliminate pathogens in black water and faecal sludge using heat generated from solar energy.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that the first phase of the project was successfully piloted at the Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, yielding positive results and valuable lessons. Building on this success, the project is now entering its second phase, which aims to implement a pilot in South Sudan.
